The Vineyard
Produced from 100% Merlot grown in the La Pièce du Châtaignier parcel, planted in 2017. The vineyard sits on wind-blown loess soils over decomposed granite rich in crushed hornblende, creating a distinctive terroir that contributes freshness, depth, and mineral precision.
Aging
Aged for 24 months in a combination of clay amphorae, oak barrels, and traditional Demi-Muid casks. The wine was hand-harvested and bottled unfined and unfiltered, preserving its natural character and authentic expression of terroir.
Food Pairing
Pairs beautifully with roasted beef, entrecôte, lamb dishes, slow-cooked stews, wild mushrooms, and aged hard cheeses.
Sensory Profile
A pure and mineral-driven Merlot, revealing ripe black fruit aromas, subtle spice notes, and a velvety texture. Extended aging adds complexity and structure, leading to a long, elegant, and beautifully balanced finish.
